Ermes is a variety of rice with a red pericarp, obtained in Italy by crossing Venus rice and an elongated grain rice, deliberately created using natural techniques. It is grown exclusively in the provinces of Vercelli and Pavia. As with black rice, red anthocyanins are contained in the outer part of the browned grain. Ermes is also gluten-free and is a brown rice, therefore rich in fiber, vitamins, minerals and proteins.
100% Italian riso rosso , 1x 2.2lb bag.
For each cup of rice combine 2 cups of water. Bring water to a boil and add salt. Add the rice and let the water come back to a gentle simmer . Then reduce the heat, cover the top and cook for up to 40 minutes.
How to store
keep in a dry and cool place, away from heat sources. Close the bag after using or move to a container in order to keep the unused goods cool and safe from air sources.For best before date see back label.
